Use of sodium sulfide

Used for the manufacture of sulfur dyes, leather depilation agents, metal smelting, photography, artificial silk denitrification and so on. Widely used in leather making, papermaking, ore dressing, dye production, organic intermediates, textile, pharmaceutical, monosodium glutamate, artificial fiber, special engineering plastics polyphenylene sulfide (PPS), alkali, rubber, also used as the sulfur sodium hydride, sodium polysulfide, sodium thiosulfate, etc., have some use in the military industry.

In the dyestuff industry, it is used to make sulfur dyes, sulfurized green, sulfide blue or dye intermediates, mordant and so on.

A flotation agent used as ore in a nonferrous metallurgical industry.

The hair removal agent in the leather industry.

A cooking agent for paper in the paper industry.

Sodium sulfide is also used in the manufacture of sodium thiosulfate, sodium polysulfide, sodium sulfide and other products.

It is also widely used in textile, pigment, rubber and other industrial sectors.
